Syndikeeper · Halcyon Labs Ltd · Version 0.0.2 (beta) · Last updated 3 October 2026 · Governing law: Ireland
Beta version (v0.0.2) for testers. These terms will be updated before public launch.
At a glance. This summary is for convenience only; the full sections below govern. Syndikeeper is a record-keeper, not a gambling service — no funds held, no bets placed, no disputes arbitrated. At present, the service is free and we operate no payment mechanism. You must be 18 or over, and you keep ownership of everything you enter. Your records are never deleted for non-payment — only by your own choice or the retention rules.
These are the Terms of the Service between you and Halcyon Labs Ltd, trading as Syndikeeper, an Irish company (CRO 823886, registered at Venture Hub,136 Capel Street, Dublin, D01 T2C9, Ireland) — "we" / "us" for the provision of Syndikeeper’s service to you. By setting up a Syndikeeper account, you indicate that you agree to them. If you have any questions: support@syndikeeper.com.
1 · What Syndikeeper is — and what it is not
Syndikeeper is a private record-keeping and administration tool for betting and lottery syndicates (“the Service”). The Service allows syndicates to record contributions, bets, winnings and running balances, and gives members a shared view of those records.
Syndikeeper is not a gambling service. The Service does not involve:
- holding, collecting, transferring or paying out money between members;
- providing any betting activity, game or lottery,
- placing, brokering or facilitating any bets or lottery entries;
- affiliation of any kind with any gambling or lottery service/provider
- verifying bets, results or winnings;
- selling or supplying, or offer to sell or supply, a gambling product or a gambling related service, or
- acting as a party to, guarantor of, or arbiter for any syndicate.
Everything in Syndikeeper is a record entered by you or your syndicate's members — the real money, lottery tickets, games and bets exist entirely outside the app, between the members themselves.
Syndikeeper does not take payments as part of its Service. Syndikeeper’s Service is free to use and has no payment mechanism of any kind. We never receive stakes, entries or winnings.
2 · Who can use Syndikeeper
You must be 18 or over to create a Syndikeeper account. By creating a Syndikeeper account, you confirm your date of birth is accurate and that you're at least 18. We will suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe that you are under 18.
You're responsible for making sure your own syndicate activity is legal where you live. Syndikeeper is available only in the territories where we offer it; we may restrict availability by country.
3 · Your account
Please keep your login credentials secure — you're personally responsible for all activity on your Syndikeeper account. Tell us promptly at support@syndikeeper.com if you believe your account has been compromised. One Syndikeeper account per person; accounts are personal and non-transferable. Your account works across the Syndikeeper website and the Android and iOS apps, and these Terms apply however you use it.
4 · Syndicates, admins and members
- Syndicates are invite-only: you join by entering an invite code, and an admin approves each request. Once you've joined, the syndicate's members will see the records shared within that syndicate, as described in the privacy notice.
- Syndicate admins have extra powers: recording entries on behalf of members, adding placeholder members, managing membership. Admins agree to use these powers honestly and to enter records about other people accurately.
- Syndikeeper does not engage or resolve syndicate disputes. If members disagree about money, contributions or winnings, that's between the members — the app's records may help you, but we are not a party, nor will we agree to be a party to, any dispute between members. Syndikeeper provides simply a record-keeping service.
- Personal, non-commercial use only. Syndikeeper is for private syndicates among friends, family or others who know each other, run for personal enjoyment and not as a business. You must not use it to run syndicates commercially or for customers (for example by charging fees or taking a commission). Only join syndicates run by people you know and trust.
- Adding other people. If you add someone else's details to a syndicate (for example as a placeholder member), you confirm that you know them and have told them you're using Syndikeeper to keep the syndicate's records.
- Records entered about you by an admin can be corrected — see the privacy notice for your rights.
5 · Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into your Syndikeeper account (records, slip images, profile photos, names, notes). You give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and back up that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you— including automated extraction of bet details from slip images you upload. The licence ends when the content is deleted under our data retention rules (see the privacy notice). We claim no other rights to your content and never use it for advertising.
Slip and ticket images. We keep slip and ticket images you upload until your account is deleted or the syndicate's records are deleted (see the privacy notice). If we start deleting images automatically after a set period, we'll update these Terms and the privacy notice first. Deletion is permanent, and the record of the bet or entry is kept. Please keep your own copy of any slip or ticket you may need: once an image is deleted, it can't be recovered or relied on to resolve a query between syndicate members. Always keep the original slip or ticket itself: Syndikeeper is not a substitute for it, and bookmakers and lottery operators will generally require the original to pay out.
Automatic slip reading. If you choose to use it, an AI service reads your slip or ticket image to fill in the bet details. It can make mistakes, so please check the details before you save them. You're responsible for the details you confirm. Records can be corrected in the app, depending on your syndicate's settings; once a bet is settled, changes to its money or result are made by your syndicate admin.
You're personally responsible for what you upload: only enter information you're entitled to share with your syndicate, and don't upload unlawful content or other people's personal data beyond what the Service is designed for. Only upload images you have the right to use. For example, your profile photo should be of you, or an image you own or have permission to use. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights. If you believe content on Syndikeeper is illegal or infringes your rights, contact us at support@syndikeeper.com.
6 · Acceptable use
Any use of a Syndikeeper account for unlawful, criminal or fraudulent purposes will result in immediate suspension and cancellation of your Syndikeeper account. Syndikeeper will comply with all of its legal obligations including reporting of such matters to the relevant authorities and the provision of any records or data requested by such authorities.
Unlawful purpose of a Syndikeeper account includes but is not limited to unlicensed gambling operations; fraudulent records to deceive other members; attempt to access other users' data or probe, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; scrape the Service or resell access; use of the Service if you're under 18.
Member content and conduct. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Don't post or share anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual or spam anywhere in the Service, including in syndicate names, notes and descriptions. To report a member or a bet, use Report on the member's row in a syndicate's Members tab, or on the bet itself. You can also email support@syndikeeper.com, for example to report a syndicate's name or description. From the same menu you can block a member: this hides their photo and the text they write from you, but not their name, bets, payments or balances, and they aren't told. We aim to review reports within 24 hours, and we may remove content and close the accounts of those responsible. To leave a syndicate, ask one of its admins to remove you.
7 · Features, limits and future paid features
Syndikeeper is provided free, with the features and limits described in the app. We may change those features and limits at any time; if we materially reduce them we'll give reasonable notice in the app.
We may introduce paid features in future. If we do, we'll publish updated Terms of Service before any charge is made, and using Syndikeeper will never require payment for records you've already entered. Your records will never be deleted because you don't pay — data lifecycle is governed only by the privacy notice and your own deletion choices. Images (such as slip images) are kept for the periods set out in the privacy notice, which may differ between plans.
8 · Availability, changes and support
We aim to keep Syndikeeper available and accurate but provide it "as available." We may modify features, and we'll flag material changes to you in the app.
Support: support@syndikeeper.com. Privacy matters: privacy@syndikeeper.com.
9 · Termination
- By you: you can delete your Syndikeeper account any time (Profile → Privacy & security → Your data → Delete my account). What happens to your data — including the 14-day grace period, de-identification of shared records, and how long backups are kept — is set out in the privacy notice and the in-app deletion flow.
- By us: we may suspend or close your Syndikeeper account for breach of these Terms of Service, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of the Service, or if required by law or regulation. If we do, we'll tell you why by email, unless the law prevents us or it would put others at risk. What happens to your data is set out in the privacy notice. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable advance notice and a way to export your records.
10 · Limit of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded under law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, your rights under data protection law (including any right to compensation), or your statutory rights as a consumer, which remain unaffected.
Subject to that: Syndikeeper is not liable for any losses, directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any losses, costs or expenses arising from you or other members' gambling activity or syndicate arrangements (we're a record-keeper, not a party to them); for records being inaccurate or lost or failed to be stored (except where this is caused by our failure to keep your data secure or another breach of data protection law); or for indirect losses, lost winnings, or lost profits. Our total liability under these Terms of Service is capped at €100. Please keep your own copies of anything important to you.
Nothing in Syndikeeper is financial, legal or gambling advice.
11 · Intellectual property
The Syndikeeper apps, design, and brand are ours (or our licensors). We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the apps for their intended purpose while you have a Syndikeeper account. Don't copy, modify or redistribute them.
App stores. If you download a Syndikeeper app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply to your use of the store. If you use the iOS app, Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement also applies. These Terms are between you and Halcyon Labs Ltd, not Apple or Google, and they aren't responsible for Syndikeeper or its support.
12 · Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service. When we make material changes, we'll ask you to accept the updated terms in the app before you continue using Syndikeeper; if you don't accept them, you can delete your account instead. The current version is always on our website, with its last-updated date.
13 · General
- Governing law: These Terms of Service are governed under Irish law and any disputes arising therefrom are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts. If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA, any applicable mandatory consumer protection laws of your home state, (the member state where you are habitually resident) also apply.
- If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term on one occasion we can still enforce it later. These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement between us about the service.
- Language: These Terms are written in English. We may provide translations for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies, to the extent the law allows.
